The Borneo Star Drift Battle recently, held on 03 Mar to 04 Mar 2023, concluded its Professional (Pro-AM) Category with Sherwin Chew driving a Toyota Trueno AE86 emerging as the Champion. His impeccable drifting skills and precision driving left the judges and the spectators in awe.

Stanley Wong, driving a Daihatsu Charmant, secured the 1st runner-up position with his smooth and controlled driving, followed by Benny Chin, driving a BMW E46, who bagged the 2nd runner-up title with his powerful car control. Zen driving a BMW E30 also performed impressively and secured the 3rd runner-up position in the category.

The Novice Category also saw some impressive performances, with Ling Tung Hui, the eldest drifter in the event, driving a Nissan 200SX, being declared the winner. His experience and skill were evident in his controlled drifts and smooth transitions.

Yu Zhe driving a Nissan Cefiro secured the 1st runner-up position, while Zen driving a BMW E30 took the 2nd runner-up title in this category as well. Willie Ong driving a Nissan 180SX put up an excellent show and was declared the 3rd runner-up in the category.

However, the event was not without its mishaps. Johnny Yong, driving a Nissan Cefiro, suffered a crash while leading and chasing with Zen. Despite the incident, the event continued successfully, and the organizers made sure that all necessary precautions were taken to ensure the safety of the drivers and the spectators.
